It staggers me the number of leaders, especially sales leaders, who believe that once they become a leader, their role is to be invisible to their team. They bark instructions and expect the team to deliver, whilst they invest their time in internal ‘strategy’ meetings or managing upwards. This is flawed thinking, and will ultimately lead to poor results. The magic is actually in being visible.
