In conversations with a number of clients this week, one key theme was evident – many of them are operating in quite a challenging and somewhat dysfunctional environment, where their senior leaders are demonstrating attributes more akin to a boss than a leader. Whilst it may be challenging functioning effectively in this type of environment, it can provide valuable lessons for leaders, especially on what not to do. And it begs the question, What are you known for? Are you considered to be a Boss or a Leader? And the equally important follow up question – What do you want to be known for?
